Special Issue on Coronary Heart Disease Research

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a narrowing of the blood vessels (coronary arteries) that supply oxygen and blood to the heart. It is a major cause of illness and death. Coronary heart disease is caused by plaque building up along the inner walls of the arteries of the heart, which narrows the arteries and reduces blood flow to the heart. Sometimes a clot may form which can obstruct the flow of blood to heart muscle. Coronary heart disease commonly causes angina pectoris (chest pain), shortness of breath, heart attack (myocardial infarction) and other symptoms.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring coronary heart disease. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Signs and symptoms of coronary heart disease
  • Risk factors of coronary heart disease
  • Indirect cause of coronary heart disease
  • Pathophysiology of coronary heart disease
  • Diagnosis of coronary heart disease
  • Acute coronary syndrome
  • Medications of coronary heart disease

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issueunder your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Coronary Heart Disease Research” should be chosen during your submission.
