Aims & Scope

Soft Nanoscience Letters (SNL) is a newly launched multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal covering fundamental and applied research in the field of soft nanoscience, which includes polymers and colloids. This will necessarily address nanostructured polymers (e.g. block copolymers), nanocomposites, physical gels, microemulsions, surface/interface modification, new processes (e.g. electrospinning/spraying), confinement effects, the organic/biological interface, and responsive/functional polymers. Results may be experimental, theoretical or simulation in nature.

All the manuscripts must be prepared in English, and are subject to a rigorous and fair peer-review process. Generally, accepted papers will appear online within 3 weeks followed by printed hard copy. The journal publishes original papers including but not limited to the following fields:

  • · Nano-biological Systems
  • · Nano-biotechnology
  • · Nano-devices
  • · Nano-electronics
  • · Nano-fabrication
  • · Nanofluidics and Nanoscale Flow
  • · Nano-material Processing
  • · Nano-material Synthesis
  • · Nano-mechanics
  • · Nano-medicine
  • · Nano-optics
  • · Nano-probes
  • · Nano-properties
  • · Nano-spectroscopy
  • · Nano-structures
  • · Nano-theory and Computation
  • · Nano-toxicology
  • · Organic Nanocrystals
  • · Organic/Polymeric Nanoparticles
  • · Polymer Nanocomposites

We are also interested in short papers (letters) that clearly address a specific problem, and short survey or position papers that sketch the results or problems on a specific topic. Authors of selected short papers would be invited to write a regular paper on the same topic for future issues of the SNL.
