Remote sensing is
the acquisition of information about an object or phenomenon without making
physical contact with the object and thus in contrast to on-site observation.
Remote sensing is used in numerous fields, including geography, land surveying
and most Earth Science disciplines (for example, hydrology, ecology,
oceanography, glaciology, geology); it also has military, intelligence,
commercial, economic, planning, and humanitarian applications.
In the present book, fifteen typical
literatures about Remote Sensing Technology published on international
authoritative journals were selected to introduce the worldwide newest
progress, which contains reviews or original researches on commercial
application, medical application, architecture application, ect. We hope this
book can demonstrate advances in Remote Sensing Technology as well as give
references to the researchers, students and other related people.
