Student in
Geology at the University of Grenoble, France, from Oct 1955 to June 1958
Member of
the Department of Geology of this University from Oct. 1958 to June 1998.
One of the
courses I gave concerned the use of the thermodynamic tool in geology.
I received
a first PhD in 1962, and a second in 1976. I am retired since 1998.
All my
papers published before 1998 were devoted to geology and written in French.
All my
papers published after 1998 were devoted to a possible link between
thermodynamics and relativity and written in English. They can be found on the Internet with the

them are mentioned in the chapter references of the present book.
Other activities:
I am Vice-President
of the European Association for the Development of the Railway Transport whose
seat is in Grenoble, France http://www.aedtf.org
I have a particular interest for the creation of a railway line between
Briançon (France) and Bardonecchia (Italy). I am a former mayor of the village
of Nevache, which is located between both towns and of which my family
originates.
Concerning this area, I am author of two books, written in French, dealing
respectively with geology and with the railway project. They are titled:
